Model Columbia 56 a contemporary take on the most iconic sunglasses shape in history – the classic teardrop aviator, used for nearly a century as a reliable tool for protecting eyesight. SALT. builds on this heritage by offering a combination of lightness, durability and perfect optics, creating some of the most refined aviators on the market.
Made from Japanese aerospace-grade titanium, Columbia glasses are extremely durable, yet almost feather-light. A key element of their design is 1-millimetre acetate insert, which adds structure to the interior, reinforces the lenses and allows for the combination of top-class materials, including titanium and mineral glass. The insert also introduces second colour layer, allowing for subtle or bold colour combinations.
Inside the earpieces and nose pads there is organic SALT pattern., which not only emphasises the uniqueness of the model, but also increases the grip and stability of the frame on the face.
The model is equipped with polarised optical grade lenses (Glass & CR-39) with a set of SALT coatings: anti-reflective, water-repellent and oil-repellent – providing excellent protection against glare, water, dirt and harmful light.
